Gaston County is one of the top areas to live and work (Ok, we might be a little biased).
Quality of life is so much more than finding a good neighborhood, or the best job.
As we discussed at the latest Professional Womenâs Association Luncheon, volunteering and partnering with non-profits are vital to professional and personal development.
Because of this, we wanted to highlight the Gaston Community Foundation, and their upcoming opportunity to give back.
The annual Community Foundation Run is back on April 13, 2024, promising a day of fun, fitness, and philanthropy. This event serves as a vital fundraiser for local nonprofits while fostering a sense of togetherness among residents of all ages.
Whether you're an avid runner, a leisurely walker, or looking to support a great cause, there's something for everyone at the Community Foundation Run.
Participants can choose between a 5K Run and a 2K Fun Walk, both of which promise scenic routes through the heart of Gaston County. Registration is conveniently available online through the Race Roster link, with no paper registrations or checks accepted at the Foundation.
Early birds catch the best deals with discounted registration fees until March 31st.
Secure your spot for the 5K Run at $30 or the 2K Walk at $20 during this period.
From April 1st onwards, registration fees will increase slightly to $35 for the 5K Run and $25 for the 2K Walk.
For those spontaneous runners and walkers, on-the-day registrations will also be available or $40 and $30, respectively.
As a token of appreciation, all registered participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt (while supplies last) to proudly wear during the event. Packet pickup for pre-registered runners and walkers will be held at the Gaston Community Foundation from April 9th to April 12th, between 9:30 am and 4:00 pm.
The bottom line: The Community Foundation Run is more than just a race; it's a celebration of community spirit and support. Join us on April 13th as we come together to make a difference and create lasting impact in Gaston County.
