Highline Partners, associated with Gastonia's FUSE, has purchased a 6-acre site (formerly the Central Branch YMCA) for just over $2 million.
Why it matters: This acquisition is part of a project called Franklin Yards, which aims to bring new life to our community.
The big picture: Construction for Franklin Yards is scheduled to begin in the late first quarter or early second quarter of 2024, and is expected to take two years to complete.
The project includes the development of over 250 market-rate apartments and 5,300 square feet of commercial space along Franklin Boulevard.
The estimated investment for this project is expected to surpass $50 million.
The team behind Franklin Yards includes local partners like Axiom Architecture, Bolton & Menk, Southpark Interiors, and Rylake Construction.
