š Gaston County's Industrial Incentives
A new industrial project in Gaston County is up for incentives.
At their meeting last week, the Gaston County Board of Commissioners is set to consider an incentives grant for IDI Logistics, according to documents. IDI Logistics is planning to develop a 302,022-square-foot industrial building at a site off Friday Park Road between Gastonia and Dallas. County documents state that the incentives are being considered for a proposed $26 million investment in the project by IDI Logistics.

In addition to consideration of a level-two incentive grant, the board will also make a decision on whether to authorize the county to enter into an economic development agreement with IDI Logistics for the project.
IDI Logistics acquired a 25-acre site to accommodate the industrial project earlier this year for $3.1 million. The project site is off U.S. Route 321.
By the numbers: The building is expected to include 36-foot clear heights, 55 dock doors, 233 auto parking spaces and 56 trailer parking spaces. The number of trailer parking spaces at the site could be expanded. The project is named Friday Park Logistics Center, according to the brochure.
The industrial developer, which has its core office in Atlanta but several other locations nationwide, won rezoning approval from Gastonia's city council for the project last year. The Gaston County project is the second industrial development in the Charlotte region led by IDI Logistics, which announced its debut project in Huntersville last June.
