Gaston based industrial park Gateway 85 will soon be home to California-based apparel company Lane Seven Apparel for its new East Coast distribution center.
Why it matters: The company has leased 64,757 square feet at 3145 Aberdeen Blvd., within Gateway85, and plans to move in during the second quarter. Lane Seven Apparel is expanding its operations in the eastern U.S., but the number of jobs associated with the new facility has not been disclosed.
"Seeing Lane Seven plant their flag in Gaston County as their East Coast distribution hub speaks to the location's ability to reach the growing population throughout the region," Jay Hill, a representative of NorthPoint Development shared.
The big picture: GBA Investor, NorthPoint Development, closed the initial land purchase for Gateway85 in late 2020, transforming the former Lineberger site, a redevelopment target for decades.
