🏢 GBA Investor Closes Deal, Boosting Local Economic Development

IFab Corp. recently bought a big piece of its Gaston County manufacturing operation, which employs about 400 people.

The metal manufacturing company purchased its 382,000-square-foot facility at 2408 Forbes Road last month for $12.65 million, according to Gaston County real estate records.

  • It sits on a 28.6-acre site along U.S. Route 321, just under 3 miles north of the state line.

By the numbers: IFab Corp., formerly known as Industrial Fabricators, total manufacturing footprint includes over 600,000 square feet of floor space, the company's website states.

  • GBA Investor, MECA Commercial Real Estate's Brendon Kipina represented the seller in its deal with IFab.

What they're saying: “It’s a really prominent manufacturing area and those buildings down there haven’t traded for decades," Kipina said. "So, this is really significant.”
