🤝 PWA Luncheon: The Why Behind The Work



Join us for a Professional Women’s Association Luncheon ‘The Why Behind the Work’.

  • This event will feature a panel of women in non-profit leadership roles as they discuss the impact of volunteerism both on local businesses and nonprofits.

Why it matters: The PWA’s intention is to connect the dots between nonprofits and local businesses. We firmly believe that by fostering partnerships between the two, we can create a more robust and compassionate community.


According to a Volunteerism Survey conducted in 2017, 89% of working Americans believe that companies sponsoring volunteer activities offer a better overall working environment.


Volunteering allows individuals to develop valuable skills that are transferable to the workplace, showcasing leadership abilities that may not always be recognized in a traditional work setting.

  • Time: 11:30am to 1pm

  • Location: Gastonia Conference Center

  • Fee: $35 Investors and $40 non-Investors
