🎉 Town of Stanley Appoints New Fire Chief

The Town of Stanley has officially announced the appointment of Gary Hilton as its new full-time fire chief. 

Hilton worked at Spencer Mountain Fire and Rescue for 17 years before becoming the interim chief of Stanley’s fire department and is certified for basic EMS and Fire response. 

Hilton has increased the number of firefighters on each call and decreased response time since leading the department. 

“The historic nature of my appointment is not lost on me. It is an honor to be the first full-time fire chief here at Stanley Fire Department,” Hilton said. “I’ve been serving as the interim fire chief since November, and in that short time, I’ve been nothing short of impressed with the dedication, commitment and sacrifice that the firemen at Stanley Fire Department have shown.”
