Looking for ways to support those affected by the storm, here are ways you can help:
Donate Supplies: The United Way of Gaston County will be serving as a collection hub for essential items such as water, paper towels, and toilet paper, which will be distributed to those impacted by the storm in Western North Carolina. The collection is requested by the Red Cross and the Red Cross will identify efforts in how the items can be delivered.
Drop-off will be at our office located at 200 East Franklin Blvd, Gastonia, NC 28052, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Donate to the UWHelpsNC Helene Recovery Fund: Financial donations can be made to the recovery fund, with the option to designate Gaston County as the area to support. The funds will support families directly impacted by the storm.
